Spring

This term our topic is ‘Royals’

Here we are dressed as important monarchs throughout British history. We created a human timeline from William the Conqueror all the way to Queen Elizabeth II.

Watch this space for our Royal portraits!

In English we will be be reading a beautiful picture book called ‘The Princess’ Blankets’ by the Poet Laureate Carol Ann Duffy.

In Science we’re learning about ‘Plants’.

We will participating in a workshop at the Tate Modern in January, keep an eye out for photographs of our visit.

Autumn

This half term we have been looking at ‘Rocks and Soils’ in Science, ‘The Stone Age’ in Topic and reading ‘Wolves in the Walls’ by Neil Gaiman and ‘Ug’ by Raymond Briggs in English.

Here are some of our hand paintings. We used our hands as stencils to create Stone Age rock art.

We made festive stained glass window decorations during the lead up to Christmas. I’m sure you’ll agree that they look brilliant!

We have had a really busy start to the new term. We spent the first few days learning the new rules and getting to know each other. We had a really good discussion during PSHE.

We have looked at some famous landscape paintings and created some amazing pieces of art.
