4JB 2016/17

Welcome to 4JB!

We have been visiting the nature garden to look for signs of Autumn.

We have been making colourful flower collages for our corridor display.

We learnt about the Hindu festival of colour Holi! We made our own Holi pictures using powder paint and learnt special Indian dance moves.

Well done to everyone for some great homework about WW2…here are just a few examples.

Recording our findings for our science investigation in to the jobs our teeth do…

We had great fun learning about the Tudors at the Globe Theatre!

4JB won the attendance award for Autumn term. Well done for fending off the illnesses and making it in to school! Here are some pics of our trip to Peckham Theatre as our reward.

For our ‘Food’ topic, we made observational drawings of various fruit and vegetables. We used these to create faces in the style of Giuseppe Arcimboldo.

We have been learning about the history of pizza and we even made our own yummy dough! We made the most of the lovely weather this week and cooked them in the pizza oven in the nature garden.

For world book day, we dressed up as dragons and vikings from ‘How to Train Your Dragon’, or as crocodiles from ‘Krindlekrax’. We loved reading both of these exciting stories and making our costumes. We also had a great session with an author.

Look at the video below to see just how amazing our performance was!

We have been enjoying the summer term getting ready for Carnival!

We have made lino prints of beautiful feathers.

Here are some of the boys making up a dance routine to advertise our healthy summer smoothie ‘Tropical treasure’!

Look at us in our gorgeous costumes all ready for Carnival! We had a lovely day celebrating 🙂
