There is a small amount of homework set at Bessemer instead we have an expectation that you read with your child on a daily basis.

Top Tips for home Reading 

Each half term children are given a topic homework sheet which they are invited to complete with their families. The topic homework is an opportunity for children to engage and learn about their forthcoming topic. An opportunity to share homework is given to all children towards the end of each half term. Class Letters

For children in KS2 (year 3 – 6) weekly maths homework will be sent home on a Friday and expected back by the following Wednesday. 

We advise parents practise basic maths skills, spelling and handwriting with their families at home. Parent workshops provide links and resources to support this. Please look at our parent workshop page for more information.
