Welcome to Ladybird Class webpage
We had a great time at the nature garden where we went on a bear hunt.
First we made maps in preparation for our visit, then we acted the story out in search of the bear.
Thankfully the bear wasn’t as scary as we expected!!
We had a great time at our Early years celebration day. A big thanks to everyone who was able to attend, here are some highlights from Ladybird.
We have welcomed lots of new faces to our nursery class and have had a very active start to the year. Here are some highlights from the first half of spring term.
We always enjoy visiting the nature garden and especially love working with our forest school partner The Jolly Foresters.
We have enjoyed our maths challenges, we’ve been learning about sets and 2d shapes. What can your child tell us about strategy’s we use to help us count?
We have as always been retelling story books as a whole class and always use actions and story prompts to assist us with the story language. Can your child retell a story using the taught actions?
We also celebrated Chinese New Year and welcomed in the year of the pig. We made lots of fun crafts and learnt about The Jade Emperor and the Chinese Zodiac. We also cooked a delicious and extremely healthy stir fry. What vegetables did your child enjoy eating?
We have had a great second half of spring term and have lots to look forward to during the summer term.
Here are a few highlights including celebrating world book day and comic relief. Visiting our friends at Greendale and helping them plant some trees in the new conservation area. Enjoying mark making activities inside, playing lots of very loud musical instruments and taking advantage of the milder weather by spending lots of time in the outside learning environment. Phew!!
