Welcome to all the new children in Ladybird class. All children have settled in really well.
Check back throughout the academic year for regular updates regarding your child’s learning.
So far we have been making lots of new friends and adapting to school life! It’s been a challenge but we have been having lots of fun in the process.
We visited the Unicorn theatre and watched The Owl who was Afraid of the Dark. We caught the train from East Dulwich and this along with the packed lunch were two of the days highlights. Thanks to all the helpers we had on our trip.
We have been practicing our phonics daily. As well as our sound discrimination, our letter recognition and sound correspondence is becoming excellent.
We’ve been looking at common 2d shapes, where we see them and what we can use them for.
We had a great time learning our Christmas Carols and performing them in the nature garden.
We also enjoyed our Christmas party!!
…and we have been learning lots as we play!
We’ve been on a bear hunt in the playground!
We had a great time at our Science workshop experimenting with chemical reactions!
We had great fun at Bocketts Farm!
