We are all very excited to be in Rainbow Class and have already had lots of fun and made new friends.
Take a look at some photos of Rainbow children playing, learning and creating in their first week at school….
Our Nature Table has been very popular with the children. We have a tree stump, a cactus, acorns, conkers, pine cones, coral, seashells and plants. Please feel free to add any natural items that you find to this table!
All the children have drawn a beautiful jungle inspired landscape from observing plants on the Creative table. These are on display in the classroom and you are welcome to come in and have a look at your child’s work.
Lassie (above) is holding the book that we’ve been reading this week, ‘Harry and the Dinosaurs go to School’. We chose this to coincide with our dinosaur topic and the all-important first day at school.
Ellie-May and Isaac are holding the two words we are learning this week, ‘I’ and ‘can’. If you can practice these at home with your child that would be great.
We’ve been looking at the Little Red Hen in Early Years. Here is some of their writing during a Literacy session – such beautiful writing!
Rainbow class are delighted to welcome Sara and her family to the Bessemer community. They have come from Iran and Rainbow class have been helping Sara feel at home and have fun.
As part of our new topic we had Doctor Pat in to have a chat with the children about being a doctor and how she looks after people. Rainbow class loved trying out all of her equipment and asking great questions!
