We have had a fantastic busy start to the term and everyone has settled in really well!

We have had Art week based around portraits, as well as reading the book Mr Big in English and beginning to do some writing about the book.

Have a look at some examples of our Art work.

Our topic is ‘Our Town’ so we went for a walk around the local area. Do you recognise any of the buildings?

We had RE day and learnt about Divali. We made Diva lamps, created Rangoli patterns and tasted some food that Hindus eat at Divali. Have a look at some of our pictures.

On Wednesday 1st November, we had a road safety workshop. We all decorated our own cars and passed our driving tests. Here are some pictures to show the workshop.

As part of our English and topic, we visited Sainsburys in East Dulwich on November 6th. We talked about fruit and vegetables and the difference between them. Do you know the definition of a fruit or vegetable? Ask your child if they can tell you.

On Friday 17th November, we had a superhero day to celebrate the end of our English unit ‘Supertato’. Here are a few pictures of our costumes. Which is your favourite?

We had a busy week this week. On Wednesday 22nd November we visited Dulwich Library, We got to listen to 2 stories being read and also chose a book each to bring back to school. On Thursday 23rd November, we went to The Unicorn Theatre to watch The Velveteen Rabbit. We all loved the show and the weather was even nice enough to have a picnic! Here are a few pictures of both.

On Friday the 8th December we went to St Faith’s church to learn more about Christmas and Christianity.

We have had a busy start to 2018. In English we have been studying Hansel and Gretel as well as reading ‘Dear Greenpeace’ to support our topic ‘Looking after our world’. We have done a lot of drama and group work to help our learning and the children have worked very hard! We have also been performing poems and we have our class assembly on Tuesday so keep your eyes peeled for videos to show some of our learning. Here is a selection of photos to show you a bit of what we have been up to.

We have had a busy start to the Summer term. On Thursday 19th April, on the hottest day of the year so far (28˚c) we went to Kew Gardens to kick off our topic on Rain-forests. It was a bit hotter than we would have liked but we had a fantastic day and learn a lot about the rain forst and its plants.

On Thursday 26th April we had a visitor from the RSPB who did a workshop with us about biodiversity. We used magnifying glasses in the nature garden looking for evidence of different creatures.

We had great fun on bike day and we were so lucky with the weather. No rain and not too hot. Perfect! Have a look at a few photos of what we got up to.

During healthy week we designed and made a healthy breakfast for our Masterchef competition. Sadly, we didn’t win but we had fun making our breakfast fritters.

Our sponsored bounce was great fun. It was harder than we thought it would be! How many bounces can you do in 2 minutes?
