I am so happy to be back in school and meeting the new 4HB!
So far this term, we have produced some beautiful, expressive portraits using oil pastels, pencil and photography.
We have begun our Topic; Britain at War, learning about the causes of WWII and the effect on the people in Britain at the time.
In Literacy we have been reading the book, ‘The Lion and the Unicorn’ by Shirley Hughes. All about an evacuee child who has to go and live in the country, we have been putting ourselves in his shoes, writing diaries about his experiences.
In Maths, we have made a great start with place value and will be looking at Roman Numerals soon!
Science is all about living things and their habitats and we have had some wonderful scientific discussions about animal classification. What type of animals are humans? How are we different from reptiles?
It’s been a great start to the new year and I will be updating the page periodically with news, pictures and exciting moments so do stop by from time to time!
