Summer Term 2 – Carnival!
We started this half term with a Road Safety Workshop
During Healthy Week we made watermelon Lemonade – we liked it more than the judges did!
Foe the Carnival Of The Animals, our theme is birds . We created chickens in several ways.
We used flour paste batik to create colourful prints.
Our carnival hats involve lots of feathers and glitter!

Welcome To Spring 2
This half term we have been exploring States of Matter in science. We made gas from liquid and tested which liquids flow the fastest.
For science week we had an exciting assembly and then made a harmonica in our sound workshop. Later on we made ice cream and took part in the Spaghetti Structure Challenge.
For world Book Day we made crocodile masks to reflect a character in our English text, Krindlekrax. Lots of us also dressed up as our favourite book characters.
Welcome to the Spring Term 1
This half term our topic is the Environment.We visited the Southwark Waste Management Centre to find out what happens to our rubbish.
In English we have been reading The Iron Man . In Computing we used sound recording and editing software to make a soundtrack for a scene, then make a short animation to go with it.
In art we experimented with charcoal and chalk.
Finally we made the head of the Iron Man

This week we visited the nature garden as part of our on-going investigation into the outside world.

In science we have been investigating teeth. We ate different foods to see what jobs they do , then made a set of teeth from card. Then we used bread to explore the role of saliva.
Our first trip this year took us to the Globe Theatre where we had a tour of the building and an acting workshop, followed by a sketching session.
We are learning fast in our weekly ukulele lessons and have also taken part in an African drumming workshop.
Our writing on Leon And The Place Between has created a great display
